Therapy for new and expecting mothers.
Therapy in Pasadena and
online throughout California.
Hey, I’m Jess.
I work with women navigating the emotional complexity of pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. This is one of the most vulnerable times in life, and you deserve support that truly sees you - not just as a mom, but as a whole person trying to find your footing in this massive transition.
So much of new motherhood involves losing touch with yourself - your confidence, your intuition, who you are beyond "mom." Together, we'll work on rebuilding trust in yourself and finding your way through this.
I use EMDR to help process difficult memories and experiences, including birth trauma. I also bring a background in yoga and embodiment work, which shapes how I understand the mind-body connection and the way stress lives in our bodies. I currently facilitate postpartum support groups and have seen firsthand how powerful it is when mothers feel truly seen.
I work with:
-

Feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or not like yourself? Postpartum depression and anxiety can show up as persistent sadness, irritability, intrusive worries, or feeling numb. You don't have to white-knuckle your way through this alone.
-

Not all births go as planned. Whether you had medical complications, felt unheard by providers, or the experience was simply different than you expected, it's normal to need support processing what happened and how it's affecting you now.
-

The transition to motherhood can feel like losing yourself. Who are you now beyond "mom"? How do you balance caring for your baby while still feeling like you? We'll explore how to honor all parts of yourself.
-

Parenthood has a way of bringing up your own childhood experiences and changing how you relate to your partner and family. We'll work through the relational shifts and patterns that surface during this transition. I use EMDR to help lessen the charge around painful memories from your past that may be affecting how you show up in your relationships now
How it works:
-

Introduce yourself. If you think we might be a good fit, reach out through the contact form, give me a call, or send a text. We'll schedule a free 20-minute phone call where I can answer your questions and we can see if working together feels right.
-

Connect. If you'd like to move forward, we'll find a 50-minute time that works for both of us. We'll decide together on a rhythm that fits your life - weekly, bi-weekly and whether we meet virtually or in person at my Pasadena office.

Build & Grow. The foundation of good therapy is a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore what's really going on. Together, we'll work toward helping you feel more like yourself, rebuild confidence, and navigate this season of life with more ease. While difficult memories and experiences don't disappear, we can lessen their hold on you and make space for who you're becoming.
